An 18ct gold rectangular Longines wristwatch, Swiss hallmark. The case number dates the watch to 1926-27. The case measuring 25 × 39 mm (including lugs) with 2o mm lug spacing. The case is marked 18K, signed Longines and is numbered.
The watch is fitted with Longines’ fine calibre 9.40, a high‑quality manual‑wind movement, 17 jewels, signed Longines, Swiss Made and individually numbered.
Longines calibre 9.40 introduced in 1926, and regarded as one of Longines’ finest early wristwatch calibres. It is architecturally traditional, beautifully finished and mechanically robust.
The champagne dial features black Arabic numerals, a subsidiary seconds at 6, and fine blued‑steel hands. The dial is signed Longines above the centre
