A French gilded ormolu mantle clock by Marchand Paris. The case has a cherub holding a bow next to a crouching lion. The wording on the front of the case translates as (Who could resist me). The White enamel dial has Roman numerals, moon style blued hands and is signed Marchand a Paris. The 8-day movement has silk suspension and strikes the hours and half hours on a bell.
